Care & Maintenance

Since the new Grill pan comes pre-seasoned, it would need gentle cleaning initially. Use mild liquid dishwashing detergent to clean and then wipe dry with a soft cloth.Apply any cooking oil and heat the pan over a gas flame for 20 mins. After it cools completely, wipe off excess oil, if any.Repeat this process several times before you start using the pan.This will be useful to get the desired cooking results.Always store your iron fry pan in a dry place after cleaning and seasoning. Avoid leaving the paniyaram pan soaked in water for long.Cleaning the pan immediately after its use is highly recommended.

Is the black color on the pan normal?

The black oil is supposedly the seasoning oil which is completely harmless. Frequent cooking and treating of the products might make the oil disappear

Is it easy to maintain cast iron products?

Yes, use mild liquid soap to clean the pan and scrub them with a soft scrubber. Rinse and thoroughly dry the cast iron pan with paper towels and rub a very light layer of cooking oil.
