Material: The Dhurrie also known as Durrie or Jaipur carpet or a Jaipuri rug is made of Cotton. Dhurries are handwoven by skilled workers in the traditional looms by interlacing the cotton threads. Hand Block Prints: The prints are made by Hand Blocks, a painstaking process done by artisans whose workmanship skills have been passed down through generations. The designs encompass both traditional or modern abstract designs. The colours used are environment friendly & pleasing to the eye.
Suitability: The Dhurries can be used in the living room as they come in large sizes of 5x7ft / 4x6ft or under small tables or kitchen mats with a 2x3ft. The size 2.5x6ft can be used as a Bed Runner on the bedside. The Dhurrie is lightweight, foldable and can be easily carried and moved in case of wiping the floors daily. The Cotton dhurries are cool in summer & bring forth warmth in the winters. The cleaning of the dhurries is simple as they are not infested by insects like in other rugs.
